Someone asked me the other day... What exactly is a "Sweet Tooth"? At first I laughed because I assumed that they had to be joking! Right?? Ha! Not at all. This individual was just as serious as it is to have ice cream with your cake and a tall glass of ice cold milk!
After scratching my head a time or two, I began to wonder myself why do people have a sweet tooth? Is it genetics? Is it because we are greedy? What is the answer???
Well, the answer to that is simple! It is simply someone who greatly enjoys sweet foods is said to have a “sweet tooth.” Many people around the world are fond of sweets, from sugar-packed ripe fruit to chocolates, and some people even associate sweet foods specifically with comfort and well being. Several factors appear to come together to create a sweet tooth: humans are predisposed to like sweet foods for a variety of reasons, some humans have even stronger sweet-liking genes, and others are conditioned to like sweets. Having a sweet tooth isn't necessarily a bad thing, although overconsumption of sweet foods can lead to health problems and we don't want that! That is why Sweet Tooth offers cakes & confections for those who do have health issues!
So remember to enjoy the sweet things in life... but in moderation!
Until next time!
